For a ...I have DCX based system for five years now. For a first couple of months I used stock one. It was fine but could not ignore of all those promises with modded ones anymore. I then bought heavily modified DCX (I can say which one, no problem). It was easy to hear the difference with the same settings on the first listen, but I was not sure is it only difference in tonality or an improvement. <br /><br />However, since I had it, I used only modded DCX from then on, never compared it again, until modded DCX failed two months ago. Repair took a while, and it was uncertain if it will work again. So I got back to stock DCX and wanted it to be as good as modded one. <br /><br />Well, unfortunately I'm now sure that modded one is significantly better, not only different. No matter what I did with settings, I remember modded DCX sounded more natural, having more resolution and ease, bottom to top. And it was more obvious with more music heard that I knew well from before. Getting my modded DCX back from repair was a happy day :)<br /><br />Now when I read that DSPmini is not that better than stock DCX, it seems that DCX with a good modification still does not have an alternative...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
